Happy Birthday, Relief Society!

Tonight we celebrated the 170th Birthday of our Church's Relief Society.  We all had a great time visiting with friends, enjoying good food and festive decorations!  I was asked to put together a cake and cupcakes for the occasion.  So here is what I came up with.  Thank you to my amazing friend Shillawna for all of the gorgeous photos! http://www.shillawnaruffnerblog.com/

  1. This is so great! I'm just preparing for ours on Saturday. We're doing dinner, and I'm making cupcakes! What is on the top of yours? And did you make the print on the cake yourself?

    1. Thank you! The cake and cupcakes are almond poppy seed, some with vanilla butter cream and some with an orange zest Italian meringue butter cream. I decorated them with gold sanding sugar and little paper pennant picks. I did make the print for the cake as well.

    2. They look really great! Would you be willing to share the cake logo? I haven't been able to find one like that, just the typical blue one...

    4. If you look at my pinterest, I used the logo on my "Church" board and just scaled it down before I printed. Then I just added some glitter paper behind it. Good luck with your party this weekend!
